'A Red Tide Lifts All Fish'

GALVESTON ISLAND, TX - “A rising tide lifts all boats.”

The optimistic words that once poured from the smooth talking lips of late John F. Kennedy, calming fears of economic and class division still ring true today as we continue to celebrate the incredible progress and fortitude of modern day class equality.

The rising tide has brought prosperity not just to CEO yacht owners, but the working man’s shrimp trawler, the weekend warrior’s Hobie Cat, Marina Wierdo Brent who’s shown little to no progress in three years of stand-up paddle boarding, and even Karate Hank who bathes naked at the public beach showers.

Motivated by American culture and it’s complex paths of progress and stability, Sunburnt’s Oceanic Civility Outreach Team still believes there might be some room for improvement, launching the 2021 campaign, “A Red Tide Raises All Fish'' to help spread awareness and inspiration regarding the ocean's progressive stance on equality.

“The equality and camaraderie of marine life amidst a red algae bloom is truly spectacular.” Reports one marine ecologist. “We’ve even seen this with interspecies relationships. When one species of fish hasn’t the oxygen necessary to sustain life, neither do it’s crustacean or mollusk friends. It's remarkable."
